MV Awards

MV Awards Programme

What are they?

The MV Awards are recognition of the commitment and time that you have given to your volunteering.

Awards are based on how many hours you give to volunteering, so all you have to do is complete a timesheet.

The Awards

There are 3 stages to the MV Awards, based around time you commit to volunteering.

  1. Certificate of Achievement         50 hours
  2. Certificate of Achievement         100 hours
  3. Award of Excellence                  200 hours
(The prestigious Award of Excellence is signed by the First Minister and endorsed by the Scottish Government.)

How do I get a Certificate Award?

  • Get in contact with the Volunteer Centre as soon as possible
  • We then get you to register your hours either by timesheet or logging on to the MV Volunteering Passport web site
  • You will need your hours verified by someone in the organisation
  • Once you have reached a milestones of 50, 100, or 200 hours we arrange for you to receive your Certificate of Award

And That’s it!

Now you have something different and special to add to your CV.

This will give you an advantage when applying to college, university and for employment.

It shows you have given freely of your time, have commitment and gained valuable experience that couldn’t be obtained elsewhere.
