By becoming a member of the Volunteer Centre you will be able to access a range of services that will not only assist you in the recruitment, development and support of volunteers but also the recognition of volunteering within your organisation.
The Volunteer Centre will:
Recruit and refer volunteers to your organisation and where appropriate, match them to specific tasks and roles
- Assist in the development of new volunteering opportunities
- Assist in the development of volunteer policies and procedures
- Offer information and advice on volunteering issues
- Provide information on possible training opportunities for volunteers and individuals working with volunteers
The Volunteer Centre will not:
- Seek references from the potential volunteer
- Fulfil Disclosure Checks on potential volunteers
- Carry insurance for volunteers referred to your organisation
