Food Co-ops
From 2010, it is proposed that a number of Food Co-ops be set up in the East Dunbartonshire area.
To support this initiative, VCED Health Campaign Volunteers will receive training on ‘healthy eating’ and information about how Food Co-ops are run.
This will enable them to convey the benefits of Food Co-ops to the public as pilot Co-ops are set up.
Through these actions, the public will be made aware of the concept of Food Co-ops, be encouraged to support them, and have the opportunity to get involved in running them.
