Types of Befriending

  • Face-to-Face Befriender

This type of Befriender is a volunteer who spends time regularly with a vulnerable, or socially isolated adult, usually on a one-to-one basis.

Every face to face befriending relationship is different. Some focus around the home, while others involve getting out and about say to parks, cafes, libraries, places of interest, garden or shopping centres and occasional visits to cinema, theatre etc.

If you have difficulty getting out and about, we can offer you our our alternative types of Befriending.
