Although still limited, we have a measured increase in capacity.
In accordance with our Service Level Agreement, we have:
- 30 places for face-to-face befriending matches
- 20 places for telephone befriending
- 10 places for letter/card writing
- 5 places for email befriending
- Time- limited befriending (a new service being developed)

Depending on the capacity of each befriending intervention at the time of referral, the Case Management Meeting will consider whether:
- We can meet your client’s needs
- We have trained Befrienders available and compatible with your client (we run up to 4 training sessions a year to maintain our numbers)
- We can proceed with setting up a match (once established, we review it every 6 months)
- We can signpost you to other services which may be more appropriate to meet your client’s needs
- We will place the referral on a waiting list until the next Case Management Meeting
- Any other action that needs to be taken and why.
